HISTORY
The Beginning of The Philippine Bully Kennel Club (PBKC).
I, Dr. Jay Geronimo and a few pitbulleros (Reb Lobarbio, Ronald Tebelin, Regie Policarpio, Leo Refuerzo and Bong Masangkay) Started the Philippine Pitbull Club (PPC) way back 1999 and have been showing Pitbulls to promote the breed, help erase the stigma and educate the people about pitbulls. while doing shows for more than a decade we have seen how it has developed and change, they are becoming thicker and massive.
2004 came and In the USA with Dave Wilson at the helm, he started a group and pioneered ABKC or American Bully Kennel Club. The same year i thought of gathering pioneer pitbulleros who have been participating our shows and thought about making another group that would cater to a more massive pitbull or later known as American Bully. 6 months after ABKC, we met with some pitbull owners who have pits thats looks more like American Bully. Malou and Charles who owns Champ Britney who always go against with Champ Puffy do of Nico Morada attended, Ruthless Kennel boys from bulacan Jojo, Jay, Leo and Bozzron owner of Panthro and PPC founders joined the first ever PBKC meeting, thus there it began. This group talked about developing and changing looks of the breed Pitbull and agreed use the term bullies so as to deviate with the stigma of the pitbulls, as you all know, back then when you say pits or pitbulls, some thought they were bad, aggressive or nangangagat or sort, thats why we will try to introduce the bigger, more massive and relax pits as American Bully.
The groups purpose for PBKC is to promote the name American Bullies and have shows too so that we will be able to continue promoting the breed as american bullies and show to people how friendly they are and more family pet.
Since 2004 weve been showing and registering dogs with PBKC. We have produce Gr. Champions and Champs like Gr. Ch. Bandit, Ch. Venom, Ch. Makaha and many more.
Also for a time Dr Ed Menor, Marvin Bannas, PJ Ajero, Jojo Lara, Paul Albert and BL Cabana took charge of PBKC and held shows side by side with PPC. They are instrumental in PBKC growth, without them PBKC will not be in this place.
PBKC have Gr. Champion Dogs from top Breeders like Arlon Berberabe, Carlo Tan, Marvin Bannas, Jason Dilig, Rod and Gladys Jimenez, Bozzron, Hell Hounds Kennel, Richard Lopez , Sherwin Caraan, and many more.
Now PBKC is coming back strong. We are catering registering Bullies and exotic bullies and our PBKC Papers are slowly getting recognized by the whole world. Come join and register with us and be part of our movement and Legacy to the Pinoy Pitbulleros, Bully breeders and Exotic Bullies.
